B PERMIT

Work or settle in Switzerland

The B permit or “autorisation de séjour” is a multifaceted residency and work permit delivered for specific reasons such as employment for skilled non-EU workers and EU-27/EFTA workers or residents, family reunification and retirees over 55 years old  (art. 33 al. 2 LEI).

L PERMIT

Short-term authorisation to work or reside in Switzerland

The “L” permit can be granted for temporary employment, for an internship after academic studies or to follow medical treatment. The short-term “L” permit is often granted to non-EU skilled workers or for an independant activity.

G PERMIT

Cross-border workers

The “G”permit or cross-border permit allows any EU/EFTA citizens to work in Switzerland while living in a neighboring EU country as long as they go home once a week.
EU workers can apply for a G permit no matter where they live. 

A cross-border worker can apply for a “G” permit online. EU/EFTA citizens can start working immediately.

90 DAYS PERMIT

90 days authorisation

Any EU service provider, independent or detached by a company based in the EU, can come and work in Switzerland on a specific project for a maximum of 90 days per year through the online procedure. The announce must be done at least 8 days before the starting date.
